When it comes to finding the perfect resort for our Disney vacations, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has become a top contender for our family of five. From the spacious rooms that comfortably fit us all, to the convenience of the Disney Skyliner whisking us off to the parks, and the dining options this resort has everything we need for a magical stay. It’s become one of those places where we don’t just sleep between park days but truly enjoy spending time together.
Finding a Disney resort room that comfortably sleeps five without jumping to the Deluxe category can be tricky, but Caribbean Beach makes it possible. The rooms that sleep 5, here include two queen beds plus a pull-down Murphy-style bed, which is just right for families like ours. It gives us plenty of space to spread out at night, while still feeling cozy and inviting. The tropical-inspired décor fits perfectly with the resort’s island theme, and there’s plenty of storage for stashing away the gear that comes with traveling as a family of five. We especially love the convenient features like mini-fridges, coffee makers, and the option to request connecting rooms if you’re traveling with an extended family group. For us, these rooms strike the perfect balance between comfort, function, and value. We get the space we need for five, the convenience of modern amenities, and the immersive theming that makes staying at a Disney resort feel like part of the vacation magic.
Caribbean Beach Resort is also unique because of its layout. The resort is divided into five colorful “villages” — Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba — each with its own quiet pool and beautiful landscaping. It feels like you’re tucked away in your own little island neighborhood, yet you’re still just a short stroll (or internal shuttle ride) from Old Port Royale, the main hub for dining, shopping, and the feature pool. Of course, we can’t talk about Caribbean Beach without mentioning the pool. The Fuentes del Morro Pool, with its old Spanish fort theming, is hands down one of our kids’ favorite places to spend a day. With water slides, splash areas, and plenty of space for lounging, it’s the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. We love being able to spend a “resort day” here without feeling like we’re missing out on the Disney magic because the pool area itself feels like an attraction.
Another reason Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has stolen our hearts is its unbeatable access to the Disney Skyliner. For our family, it’s more than just transportation, it’s an attraction in itself. There’s something so exciting about stepping into a gondola and soaring above the treetops, catching glimpses of the parks and resorts as you glide through the sky. Our kids treat it like the first “ride” of the day, and honestly, we feel the same way.
Caribbean Beach isn’t just a stop on the Skyliner route, it’s the hub. From here, you can easily transfer to different Skyliner lines, making travel to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze. The convenience is hard to beat. Instead of waiting for buses or navigating long transportation routes, we’re whisked away with panoramic views and a gentle breeze. It saves us so much time, especially when we’re trying to get to early park reservations or make it back for an afternoon swim at the pool. Another bonus? The Skyliner connects Caribbean Beach to other Disney resorts like Riviera, Pop Century, and Art of Animation. We’ve hopped on in the evenings just to explore, grab a meal, or enjoy a stroll around another resort something that adds a fun, spontaneous touch to our vacation.

Every stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort gives us a balance of space, convenience, and fun. It’s where our family makes some of our best Disney memories—whether we’re starting the day with a ride on the Skyliner, coming back to relax by the pool, or simply unwinding together in a room that fits us all comfortably. For us, this resort is more than just a place to sleep; it’s an essential part of the Disney experience.
