Dining is one of my favorite things of sailing Disney Cruise Line, and the Disney Destiny takes the experience to a whole new level! From immersive themed restaurants to casual poolside bites and elegant adult-only dining, there are incredible options available for every guest.

Want to know the best part though? Most of the dining onboard is included in your cruise fare! So you can enjoy a wide variety of meals and experiences without worrying about extra costs.

Let’s take a look at everything you can expect when it comes to dining aboard the Disney Destiny.

What Restaurants Are Included on Disney Destiny?

Disney Cruise Line includes a variety of dining options in your cruise fare. This means you can enjoy incredible meals throughout your sailing without paying extra.

Included dining options include:

  • The three main dining rooms
  • Marceline Market buffet
  • Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods quick-service stations
  • 24-hour room service

While Disney Destiny also offers a couple of adult-only specialty restaurants which are an extra cost, you can easily sail without spending more on dining and still have an amazing culinary experience.

Disney’s Unique Rotational Dining

One of the things that makes Disney Cruise Line stand out is its Rotational Dining concept. This is one of my favorite things about DCL. It feels like a new dining adventure each night instead of the same old boring main dining room.

You will be assigned a dining rotation which will have you visiting each of the 3 dining locations at least once during your cruise. Longer cruises will dine at certain locations multiple nights but you will experience a second menu offering. No boring repeated dining options here! What makes this experience special is that your serving team rotates with you, allowing them to learn your preferences and provide exceptional service throughout your cruise. Disney servers are some of the best I’ve encountered and tend to go above and beyond. We’ve had drinks for the kids already on the table before we’ve arrived and they bring special surprises for them. It’s truly unlike any other cruise line.

Many cruises also feature a Pirate Night menu, with Caribbean-inspired dishes and themed entertainment. Some people like to skip this night to do an adult dining night, but the kids love dining with their pirate hate menus and themed dinner.

Your exact dining rotation will be available once onboard in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

1923 (Deck 3)

Named after the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 celebrates the history of Disney animation and the company’s California roots. This restaurant features artwork, sketches, and animation tools that highlight Disney’s early creative years. The space is divided into two dining rooms named after the brothers behind the magic:

  • Walt Disney
  • Roy Disney

But don’t worry regardless of which side you are seated in, guests enjoy the same menu. This is one of the more upscale dining experiences on the ship, with menu options like:

  • Oysters
  • Filet Mignon
  • Rack of Lamb
  • Beef Tenderloin

There are also classic options available every evening including:

  • Sirloin steak
  • Roasted chicken
  • Salmon

1923 also serves breakfast and lunch, except on embarkation day when lunch is offered in Pride Lands instead. We like to dine in the restaurants for breakfast instead of fighting elbows in the buffet.

Worlds of Marvel (Deck 4)

If you have Marvel fans in your family, Worlds of Marvel is a really fun dining experience! During dinner, guests experience Marvel Celebration of Heroes, a story that unfolds on screens throughout the restaurant while you dine. The show features music from the Guardians of the Galaxy films and includes interactive trivia elements.

Menu Highlights

The menu features a mix of globally inspired dishes including:

  • Steamed Bao Buns
  • Shrimp
  • Chicken Schnitzel
  • Pork Chop

If you dine here twice during your sailing, the second night typically features a different menu without the interactive show.

Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King (Deck 5)

One of the newest dining experiences on Disney Destiny is Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King This restaurant combines storytelling, music, and African-inspired cuisine for a truly immersive dining experience. A talented group of performers retells the story of Simba through live music, percussion, and interpretive dance.

The restaurant’s design is inspired by the African savanna, creating a warm and communal dining atmosphere.

Guests can enjoy dishes such as:

  • Spiced Tomato-Braised Lamb Shank
  • Berbere Spiced Roasted Chicken
  • Peri-Peri Shrimp
  • Pumpkin Ravioli
  • Short Rib

There are also themed cocktails, including the fan-favorite “Can You Feel the Rum Tonight?”

Marceline Market (Deck 11)

Marceline Market is Disney Destiny’s modern take on a cruise ship buffet. Named after Walt Disney’s childhood hometown in Missouri (TRIVIA QUESTION), this stylish food hall features a variety of food stations inspired by markets around the world.

Guests can enjoy:

  • American favorites
  • International cuisine
  • Seafood
  • Soups and salads
  • Fresh baked goods and desserts

There’s also a kids section offering favorites like Mickey waffles for breakfast and chicken tenders for lunch.

One tip I always tell my clients:
Make sure you walk to the back of the restaurant, because that’s where you’ll find the omelet station in the morning and the seafood bar later in the day.

Marceline Market is typically open for:

Breakfast: approximately 7:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Lunch: approximately 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Unlike most cruise buffets though, Marceline Market is not open for dinner. If you skip your rotational dining you can always order room service or grab a bite at Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods

Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods (Deck 11)

If you’re spending time by the pool deck (which most people do), you’ll probably grab food at Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods at least once. This area is designed like a seaside boardwalk and offers several quick-service food stations. It’s perfect for grabbing lunch, dinner, or a snack between activities.

Typical hours are:

  • Food stations: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Grill: Until 9:00 PM
  • Pizza: Until Midnight

This is a great option for casual meals when you want something quick and delicious.

Room Service

Another great perk of Disney Cruise Line is that room service is available 24 hours a day, and most of the menu is included.

Breakfast can be delivered to your stateroom between 5:00 AM and 9:30 AM, and there’s an all-day menu available the rest of the time.

You’ll find options like:

• Soups and salads
• Burgers and sandwiches
• Chicken wings and tenders
• Desserts

And a little insider tip: You can ask for Mickey Ice Cream Bars, even though they’re not listed on the menu!

Specialty Dining on Disney Destiny

While the included dining options are fantastic, Disney Destiny also offers two adult-only specialty restaurants for guests looking for a more upscale dining experience.

Reservations for these restaurants should be made before your cruise, as they tend to fill up quickly.

Palo Steakhouse (Deck 12)

Palo Steakhouse is an evolution of the beloved Palo restaurant found on other Disney Cruise Line ships. This is our go to spot for an adult on brunch that’s to di(n)e for!

This venue combines authentic Italian cuisine with a modern steakhouse menu in an elegant setting inspired by Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast.

Dining Options

Guests can choose from:

  • Prix Fixe Menu – $55 per person
  • À la carte options

Popular dishes include:

  • Butternut Squash Agnolotti
  • Osso Buco
  • Wagyu Steak
  • The famous Palo Soufflé

Palo also offers a brunch experience on sea days for $55 per person.

Enchanté (Deck 12)

Enchanté is the most upscale dining experience onboard the Disney Destiny. The restaurant features a gourmet menu created by Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement and is inspired by Lumière from Beauty and the Beast. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic, with candlelight, soft blue tones, and shimmering lighting.

Pricing

  • Prix Fixe Menu – $145 per person
  • Optional drink pairings available

This multi-course dining experience includes beautifully crafted dishes, cheeses, and desserts designed to elevate your cruise vacation.
