If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to do a VIP Tour at Walt Disney World, I can officially say it was one of the coolest Disney experiences we’ve ever had!

We spent 10 hours with our amazing VIP Tour guide, Hannah, visited three parks, rode SO many of our favorite attractions, had private transportation between the parks, and ended the night with special viewing for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

It was a FULL day, but somehow it never felt chaotic. Having Hannah there to guide us through everything made such a huge difference.

We also had a pretty big range of ages in our group, from 5 years old to 44, which meant not everyone wanted to do the same things. Here’s what our Disney VIP Tour day looked like!

Starting Our Day at Hollywood Studios

We started our VIP Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Hannah, our guide, met us and we jumped right into our day.

Our first park included three of the attractions that are normally pretty high on most priority lists:

• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
• Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
• Slinky Dog Dash

Being able to experience these without spending a huge portion of our day waiting in lines was such a game changer. We got to skip the lines and entered through the Lightning Lane are for these. But because we had younger kids with us, not everyone wanted to ride everything.

Our youngest, Charli, had absolutely no interest in some of the bigger rides and I wasn’t going to make her! Instead of one of us having to miss the ride or sit around waiting and utilizing rider swap, Hannah stayed with Charli while the rest of us rode and she didn’t just sit and wait with her.

While we were riding some of the bigger attractions, Hannah would take Charli to do something fun that was more her speed. At Hollywood Studios, she was able to go enjoy the new villains show while the bigger kids and adults tackled rides.

That was something I hadn’t really thought about before our VIP Tour, but it ended up being one of the things I appreciated most.

Private Transportation to EPCOT

Instead of leaving the park, heading out to Disney transportation, waiting for a bus, monorail or Skyliner, and then going through the entrance of another park, we had special VIP transportation that took us directly between the parks through back entrances that put us RIGHT next to the rides we were doing! When you’re trying to fit three parks into one day, the amount of time this saves is huge.

Our next stop was EPCOT, and we packed a lot into our time there.

We rode:

• Test Track
• Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
• Frozen Ever After
• Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians is always a favorite, so of course that one had to make our list! Once again, though, Guardians wasn’t exactly on Charli’s must-do list.

While the rest of us rode Guardians, Hannah took Charli to ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends instead.

So while we were having fun on one of Disney World’s biggest thrill rides, Charli was having her own Disney experience instead of simply waiting around for us. She also got to explore the aquarium right after the ride and enjoy some much needed AC. As a mom, I LOVED this.

A VIP Tour With Different Ages

I think this is something worth mentioning for anyone considering a VIP Tour with a family or larger group. Obviously, a five-year-old and a 40-year-old aren’t necessarily going to have the same Disney World must-do list!

Some of us wanted the roller coasters and thrill rides. The younger kids wanted Mickey Bars, characters and attractions that were more their speed. Having Hannah, our guide, meant we didn’t constantly have to choose between the two.

When Charli didn’t want to ride something, Hannah was able to stay with her and, when possible, take her to experience something else nearby. Charli wasn’t stuck sitting around waiting for everyone else, and one of the adults didn’t have to miss out on the bigger attractions either. That made the day SO much easier for our family, especially when we are constantly having to miss riding with each other.

If you’re considering a Disney VIP Tour with multiple generations, younger children, grandparents, or simply people with very different ride preferences, this is one of those benefits you might not immediately think about.

It’s the Little Things, Too

Something I really appreciated about the tour was that it wasn’t just about getting from ride to ride. Hannah took such great care of us throughout the entire day.

We stopped for snacks along the way, and she would often have cold waters waiting for us when we got off the rides. The kids enjoyed Mickey Bars and frozen lemonade, and we had time to snack and recharge without feeling like we were wasting our day.

Those little touches really added to the experience, especially during a 10-hour park day with kids! It truly felt like Hannah was constantly thinking a step ahead for us, which meant we didn’t have to.

Ending Our Tour at Magic Kingdom

From EPCOT, we hopped back into our VIP transportation and headed to our third and final park of the day: Magic Kingdom.

And yes, we still had plenty left to do!

At Magic Kingdom, we rode:

• Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
• TRON Lightcycle / Run
• Space Mountain
• “it’s a small world”
• Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
• Met Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween costumes

By the time we were riding TRON, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was underway. Once again, Charli wasn’t interested in riding the bigger coaster and Hannah stayed with her. But instead of Charli waiting around while everyone else rode, Hannah took her to the dance party happening in Tomorrowland with Lilo and Stitch!

So while we were racing around the Grid on TRON, Charli was dancing with Disney characters at the Halloween party. I think she may have gotten the better end of that deal!

It was another one of those moments that really showed me how personalized our VIP Tour was. Hannah wasn’t simply watching Charli while we rode, she was making sure Charli was having just as much fun as the rest of us.

By this point we had already visited Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, ridden some of Disney World’s most popular attractions, eaten plenty of snacks, and somehow we were STILL going. But one of the best parts of the entire day was still ahead.

VIP Viewing at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

We planned our VIP Tour on the same day we were attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which made the experience even better.

As part of our tour, we had access to special viewing areas for the Halloween parade and fireworks.

After spending the day moving from ride to ride and park to park, it was so nice not having to worry about finding the perfect viewing spot or sitting somewhere forever waiting for the entertainment to begin.

We were able to enjoy our day and then end our VIP Tour with an incredible view of some of the best entertainment Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has to offer.

It was the PERFECT ending to our tour.

How Much Can You Really Do on a Disney VIP Tour?

This was the part that impressed me the most. In 10 hours, we visited three Disney World parks and rode:

Hollywood Studios: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash.

EPCOT: Test Track, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Magic Kingdom: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Space Mountain, “it’s a small world” and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

That’s 12 attractions across three parks, plus snacks, transportation between parks, additional experiences for our youngest when she didn’t want to ride, and special viewing for the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party parade and fireworks.

And while we were doing some of those 12 attractions, Charli was getting to experience things like the villains show at Hollywood Studios, Finding Nemo at EPCOT, and dancing with Lilo and Stitch at Magic Kingdom.

Trying to recreate that exact day on our own would have taken a LOT more planning, waiting and running around and honestly probably would not have been able to happen.

Is a Disney VIP Tour Worth It?

A Disney VIP Tour is definitely a splurge, and it’s not something every family needs to have an amazing Walt Disney World vacation.

But if you have limited time, you’re celebrating something special, you’re traveling with a larger family or group, or you simply want to experience as much Disney as possible without spending so much of your vacation figuring out logistics and waiting in lines, it can be an incredible experience.

For us, the biggest value wasn’t just how many rides we accomplished. It was how easy the day felt.

We weren’t constantly checking wait times, figuring out how to get to another park, deciding what attraction we should do next, or worrying about where we needed to stand for the parade.

And when one of the little ones didn’t want to ride something, we didn’t have to decide which adult was going to sit out.

Hannah handled the flow of our day, took care of our group, made sure Charli was having just as much fun as everyone else, and allowed us to actually enjoy being together as a family.

That was a HUGE part of the value for me.

Would We Do a Disney VIP Tour Again?

Absolutely.

We loved our guide, loved the private transportation, loved how much we accomplished, and loved all of the little extras along the way. But I think what impressed me most was how personalized the day really was. It wasn’t simply someone walking us from ride to ride.

Hannah learned what our group wanted, adjusted for the different ages and personalities, helped us maximize our time, kept everyone going, and made sure even our youngest was having her own special Disney day.

Ten hours sounds like a long day (and it definitely is) but it went by SO fast!
